Alza.cz is the Czech Republic's largest e-commerce platform, spanning everything from online shopping to loyalty subscriptions and in-store pickup. Over 4.5 years, I grew from designing marketing landing pages into owning major product launches like AlzaPlus+ — working across research, UI, prototyping, testing, and close collaboration with a large, established design and development team.

What I actually did

Started in the marketing department and discovered UX design through an internal course and a cross-department rotation program
Mentored by the person who built Alza's design department — learned the fundamentals directly from him
Started small — simple features and marketing landing pages — and grew into ownership of large-scale projects, including sole responsibility for the AlzaPlus+ subscription launch and Alza's buyout/trade-in program
Worked beyond typical web and mobile features — redesigned the internal app used daily by warehouse staff, and designed interactive screens for Alza's physical stores
Collaborated daily with marketing, product, and development teams
Ran user research and testing throughout the design process — including A/B testing — to validate decisions before launch
Used analytics tools like Google Analytics, Smartlook, and Hotjar to validate design decisions with real behavioral data
Contributed to and helped maintain Alza's custom design system
Part of the core team designing Alza.cz — the largest e-commerce platform in the Czech Republic
